Memory spec terms
If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules.
NON-ECC/Non-parity Most desktop and laptop computers take NON-ECC or Non-parity memory.
ECC/Parity ECC or parity modules look for errors in data and are most often found in servers and other mission-critical applications used by large networks and businesses.
Unbuffered Most PCs and workstations use unbuffered memory which is faster than registered memory.
Registered/Buffered Registered or buffered modules delay all information transferred to the module by one clock cycle. This type of memory is primarily used in servers.
Fully buffered Designed for next-generation servers, features an advanced memory buffer.
CL CAS (column address strobe) latency, which is the number of clock cycles it takes before data starts to flow after a command is received. Lower CL is faster. Modules with different CL can be mixed on a system, but the system will only run at the highest (slowest) CL.
Component configuration (For example: 64Meg x 64) Indicates the size of the memory chip components on the module.
Voltage For example 2.6V. Indicates the power used by the module. The lower the better.

Whether you’re using a workstation or server to run office applications, design digital media, edit videos or host web content, Crucial ECC UDIMMs help increase your productivity. Maximize expensive workstation and server investments by inexpensively installing more memory.

Maximize your productivity and run apps faster

Cut load times. Accelerate demanding applications. And spend less time waiting on your system and more time getting work done. Crucial ECC UDIMMs enable you to maximize the performance capability of your CPUs for a faster, more responsive system.

Minimize data errors for optimal performance

Crucial ECC UDIMMs contain error correction code (ECC). ECC parity helps detect and correct single-bit memory errors, which can cause sudden shutdowns, file corruption, or data loss. Help prevent costly downtimes with Crucial ECC UDIMMs, which ensure a higher level of data integrity.

Available in multiple form factors and memory technologies

Crucial ECC UDIMMs are available in DDR to DDR4 memory technology, and select modules are also available in the very low profile (VLP) form factor. Measuring just 18.75mm tall, Crucial VLP ECC UDIMMs are 40% shorter than standard ECC UDIMMs and facilitate better airflow in space-constrained, systems such as microservers, routers, and switches.

Available in the latest technology

Built with new technology tailored for the latest Intel® platforms, Crucial DDR4 ECC UDIMMs allow you to increase system performance with memory speeds up to 2666 MT/s and densities up to 16GB. Increasing the installed memory capacity of each server with modules equipped with 8Gb-based components enables your systems to reach their full performance potential.

Backed by the Reliance Program*

When you make an enterprise-level investment in Crucial products, we believe you deserve a higher level of support. The Reliance Program offers qualified customers up to four additional benefits that affirm our commitment to your servers through service call reimbursements, on-site spares, 24/7 technical support through our direct hotline, and special bulk shipping options.

Micron® quality – a higher level of reliability

Server memory that’s built to last requires lasting industry relationships and technology collaboration over multiple product cycles.
