It's a RAM upgrade that just works. Even more capacity to keep multiple apps and a virtualised Windows OS running happily.
No issues would recommend.
I have been very disappointed with the performance of my Macbook Pro. Early 2011 model, started going slow even with only half disk full and cleaning up the obvious things. I decided on the memory u/grade after testing memory use. Apple notes say model only supports 8 GB but others have installed 16GB. I tried both, the 16 is faster, about 3 x. It's almost back to new. Be careful installing though, it's so easy, but be gentle with the Mac screws, they dethread easily.
Before I only had 4 GB of RAM, it made my life extremely stressful when I was doing my work on Logic Pro. The amount of samples and plugins I used caused the program to crash often. Now with the addition of this 8 GB RAM from Crucial I have 10 GB of RAM and my life has never been better. Thank you, Crucial.
I honestly excepted the speed of my computer to increase significantly after upgrading from 4GB to 10GB of RAM. However, the difference is barely noticeable. Maybe it is just me. It was easy to fit in. The instruction video online was superb. But i am still worried about the speed of my laptop
